Following the High-Level Conference and a year of intensive and constructive collaboration, the Energy Transition Partnership (ETP) is entering its second implementation phase in 2026.
Thanks to the strong engagement of our community — now nearly 650 members — the Working Groups have delivered diverse, high-quality sectoral recommendations and joint considerations that will directly inform the forthcoming Energy Transition Roadmap. These achievements clearly demonstrate the value, expertise and commitment within the ETP community.
Working Groups 2026 – Call for Expressions of Interest
As we move into the next phase, the 2026 Working Programme will continue the consultation process and further strengthen community involvement in implementation. To ensure broad and inclusive participation, we are opening an application process for members of the ETP community to join the 2026 Working Groups.
Participation in a Working Group involves:
Active engagement in approximately two dedicated meetings per group by September 2026
Collaboration under the coordination of the appointed Support Group Coordinator
Support from the ETP Assistance Mechanism
Contributing to the drafting and review of key outputs
The Working Groups are structured consultation platforms designed to support the energy transition of EU fisheries and aquaculture. They are collaborative forums and are not intended to serve as lobbying platforms.
If you would like to contribute actively to shaping the energy transition of EU fisheries and aquaculture and to inform the future Energy Transition Roadmap, we warmly invite you to apply for one or more Working Groups according to your interest and availability:
Small Scale Fisheries
Large Scale Fisheries
Distant Water Fleet
Inland Aquaculture
Offshore Aquaculture
Ports
NGOs
Research and Academia
Fishing shipbuilding
Processing industry and trade
Application process
An EU Survey is now open for members of the ETP community who wish to participate in one or more Working Groups in 2026.
Deadline for submission: 16 March 2026.
Access the survey here: https://ec.europa.eu/eusurvey/runner/Application_ETP_Working_Groups_2026
The final composition of each Working Group will take into account:
Balanced sectoral and geographical representation
A limitation on the number of representatives per working group (20 persons) and per organisation (2 persons)
Demonstrated expertise, motivation and availability
Relevant sector-specific experience
We strongly encourage all interested members to apply and take part in this important next phase of the ETP’s work.
The selected members will be contacted in accordance with the needs and available capacity of each specific working group. Applicants who are not selected in the first round will automatically be placed on a reserve list and may be considered in the event of any dropouts from the working groups.
We look forward to continuing this collaborative effort with you.
